ANW Trucking Inc. is committed to the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in our operations. This policy outlines how we may use AI tools, the principles that guide our approach, and how we protect the interests of our customers, employees, and partners.

How We May Use AI

We may use AI-assisted tools to support the following areas of our business:

• Route optimization and logistics planning to improve delivery efficiency

Human Oversight

All AI-generated outputs used in our business are reviewed and approved by qualified personnel before implementation. AI tools assist our team but do not replace human judgment, particularly in matters involving safety, customer relationships, pricing, and regulatory compliance. Final decisions affecting customers, employees, and business operations are always made by people.

Data Privacy and Protection

When using AI tools, we adhere to the following data protection principles:

• We do not share personally identifiable customer information with public AI systems without explicit consent
• Customer data used in AI-assisted processes is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and all applicable privacy legislation, including Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and applicable U.S. state privacy laws
• We select AI vendors and tools that maintain appropriate security standards and data handling practices
• Sensitive business data is only processed through AI tools with adequate confidentiality safeguards

Transparency

We believe in being open about our use of technology. If you interact with an AI-assisted system (for example, a chatbot or automated response tool on our website), we will make reasonable efforts to identify it as such. You always have the option to speak with a member of our team directly.

Fairness and Non-Discrimination

We do not use AI tools to make automated decisions about individuals that could result in discriminatory outcomes. Any AI-assisted analysis involving people — whether customers, job applicants, or employees — is subject to human review to ensure fairness and compliance with Canadian and U.S. human rights legislation.

We recognize that AI systems can produce inaccurate or incomplete results. All AI-generated content and recommendations are verified by our staff before being relied upon for business operations, customer-facing communications, or regulatory submissions.

Employee Use of AI

Employees and contractors of ANW Trucking Inc. who use AI tools in the course of their work are expected to follow this policy and any related internal guidelines. This includes exercising good judgment about what data is shared with AI systems and ensuring all outputs are reviewed for accuracy before use.
